Listening to Lauren: How to Land Your Dream Internship

By Carolina Dorado

April  9th, 2017

I’ve heard of Intern Queen on articles or posts online. I have followed her advice on applying to a minimum of 15 internships at the time of my search and it worked! When I heard that Lauren Berger, CEO of Intern Queen, was going to be our guest speaker, I was excited to meet her in person. I looked forward to hearing about her journey and her advice.

She did not disappoint!

She was inspirational and had a lot of advice! Two hours didn’t seem enough time. She spoke about how she started her business on a 5,000 budget and how she cleverly thought of her next steps to improve her brand.

What stood out to me was the advice she shared on how to network. She emphasized networking and the importance of staying in touch with the people you meet. It all made sense and it’s really easy to do. She also mentioned internships at her company and her willingness of giving career advice. She is an approachable person with the ambition to hustle for all the right reasons.

I am glad we had the opportunity to hear her story in person. For anyone wondering, you can checkout her books on Amazon (they are interesting!). You can also google her and find her on Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube. Her videos are really helpful and cute! If you are also looking for internships then I highly encourage you to check her website, InternQueen. You will find many offers from cities like Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. To tie it back together, Lauren Berger is a hard working woman with a lot of experience. She has grown an idea to a successful company and became her own boss. Lauren is a true role model for those who have a vision into starting their own companies and being their own boss one day.
